It was not unexpected, but the brutal truth of death up close and personal hit me very hard.  (Understand, I am no stranger to up close and personal death, having been a war correspondent in a former life, I saw far too many deaths in real time, up close and personal).  “So this is it?”  I wondered.  “This is how it all ends, a small cough, a gasp and you’re taking the big dirt nap 24/7 for all eternity.  #FML
